Motasem ElGamel

Motasem ElGamel is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in biological physics, and an incoming Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University.

His research interests lie at the interface of physics and biology, particularly in using quantitative and physics based approaches to elucidate the principles governing living systems. His current work investigates fundamental aspects of microbial dynamics across cellular and population scales. Motasem graduated with a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology, Zewail City, Egypt, in 2019.
